The launch of a United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket carrying the U.S. Space Force USSF-87 mission has been delayed, with liftoff now scheduled for no earlier than Thursday, Feb. 12, from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The launch of a United Launch Alliance Vulcan rocket carrying the U.S. Space Force USSF-87 mission has been delayed, with liftoff now scheduled for no earlier than Thursday, Feb. 12, from Space Launch Complex 41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The mission is being conducted on behalf of the United States Space Force’s Space Systems Command. The delay is pending range approval, which is required before launch operations can proceed.

Launch teams continue to process the Vulcan rocket while working through weather considerations and other operational constraints ahead of the new target date.

Officials have not announced a specific launch time, noting that further updates will be provided once range availability and conditions are confirmed.

The USSF-87 mission represents another milestone for the Vulcan rocket program and supports ongoing national security space objectives for the U.S. Space Force.
