Wilson has worked at the Sheriff’s Office South Precinct for over 5 ½ years, and every Monday you can find him working the front desk at the BCSO South Precinct from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. He can often be found patrolling in the COP squad car every Friday.

“He’s the first person the general public meets when approaching the Precinct,” said Sheriff Wayne Ivey. “His main concern is to be sure that the public’s needs are addressed with a friendly and positive demeanor.”

Wilson has been recognized as COP of the month and in the last year, has provided 662 volunteer hours.

“The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office appreciates everything our COP’s do for our community,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Our Citizens Observer Patrol members help by deterring crime and acting as an extra set of eyes and ears for the law enforcement community. They are truly the definition of dedication and commitment and Vince is an incredible asset for our agency and our community.”
