Dorothea Mary Cutter,75, Will Be Missed By All Those Fortunate To Have Known Her

OBITUARY

BREVARD COUNTY • CAPE CANAVERAL, FLORIDA — Dorothea Mary Cutter (nee Shields), 75 , of Cape Canaveral, died peacefully at home on June 2, 2012.

Dottie was born April 13, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York.

She spent her formative years in Brooklyn and in 1957 married Harry F. Cutter.

They eventually settled in Middletown, New Jersey and together raised their four children.

In 1988, they retired to Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Dottie is survived by three of her children; Mary Abrahamsen (Pete), Carolyn Sooy (Mike), and Edward Cutter (Adrienne); a sister, Ann Shields of Merritt Island, Florida; and five grandchildren, Julianne, Jessica, Megan, Jack, and Abigail.

Her husband Harry passed away in 2006 and her son Thomas passed away in January, 2012.

She is also pre-deceased by her sister, Irene Shields and brother, George Shields.

Dottie was the most caring person we have known. She was a terrific mother and grandmother who taught the virtues of honesty, compassion and decency.

She will be missed by all those fortunate to have known her.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach .
