BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – If  melting dripping flesh and bloody oozing wounds make your stomach crawl, perhaps it was best that you avoided the annual Melbourne Zombie Walk in downtown  Melbourne on Oct. 13.

The event drew hundreds of spectators and plenty of eager participants who wore their bloodiest apparel for the occasion.]

Staged just for fun, the annual event provides makeup artists and amateur costumers an opportunity to practice their craft on a wide scale.

The year’s event featured a surprise twist as real-life bride and groom Amber and Nick Stack, who are friends of the event coordinator, showed in their wedding attire — tuxedo and wedding gown — only to be chased by a horde of  screaming zombies.

Space Coast Daily was on hand for the festivities and filed a photo gallery from the event.
