Florida Tech’s Dig Pink Night Set For Today

MATCH SET FOR 7 P.M.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA — Dig Pink Night is set for Friday, Oct. 4 as Florida Tech (10-2, 1-1 SSC) comes back home and hosts Lynn University (11-4, 1-1 SSC) at 7 p.m. at the Clemente Center.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness. A free t-shirt is given to those who donate and donations can be made throughout the contest. All proceeds will go to the Side-Out Foundation, a non-profit organization aiming to further breast cancer awareness, education and patient services.
A silent auction will take place throughout the game and will go up until the final set. Organizations donating items for the silent auction include but are not limited to: Carrabba’s Italian Grill Palm Bay, Maverick Multimedia/Space Coast Daily, Matt’s Casbah, Jersey Mike’s, The Courtyard Marriott West, the Residence Inn Melbourne and Old School Pizza.
Florida Tech comes off of a 3-1 victory over Rollins College, a team receiving top-25 votes in the latest AVCA Top-25. Charlie French registered her fourth double-double in Saturday’s Sunshine State Conference battle, finishing with 14 kills and 12 digs.
The Panthers follow Friday evening’s slate with an afternoon match against Nova Southeastern (2-7, 0-2 SSC) on Saturday. FIT and the Sharks are set for a 4 p.m. start.
