Panthers Take On Palm Beach Atlantic Tonight

WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA – With one more win, head coach Billy Mims will stand alone as the most winningest coach in Florida Tech (3-0) history with 126 victories.

The Panthers look to improve to 4-0 for the second time in three seasons when they head to its only road contest of the 2013 schedule, a non conference game at Palm Beach Atlantic (1-1) on Monday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. at the Rubin Arena.

Corbin Jackson dominated all evening and recorded a triple-double in just his third game as a Panther, finishing with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 10 blocks to lead FIT past Assumption College (1-2), 78-72, in overtime at the Clemente Center.

Chris Carter scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half and overtime as the Panthers rallied back after trailing by as much as six in the later stages of the second half. Clutch free throws and trap defense were critical in FIT’s comeback victory.

The Sailfish came out victorious in their home opener on Saturday, Nov. 16, defeating No. 5 Northwood (NAIA Division II), 75-65 behind 16 points by Clayton Williams.
