Charles Weatherford, 63, of Cocoa received minor injuries when he was involved in a fatal crash on Colonial Drive in Orlando at about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday night.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Charles Weatherford, 63, of Cocoa, received minor injuries when he was involved in a fatal crash on Colonial Drive in Orlando at about 9:10 p.m. on Saturday night.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Weatherford was traveling eastbound on Colonial Drive when a pedestrian was attempting to cross Colonial Drive, east of Avalon Boulevard, from the north side of the road to the south side and walked into the direct path of Weatherford’s 2003 four-door Toyota.

Weatherford was taken to Florida Hospital East and the crash remains under investigation.

The victim has not been identified pending notification of next-of-kin.
