Nene Johnson and CJ Jackson Named ESFC Athletes of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Women’s basketball guard Nene Johnson and men’s guard C.J. Jackson are the Eastern Florida State College Student-Athletes of the Week for the week ending Nov. 15.
Johnson, a sophomore from Stuart, Florida and Martin County High, totaled 34 points, 10 rebounds, 14 assists and four steals in two games.
The Titans upset nationally No. 12-ranked College of Central Florida 84-61 and defeated Hillsborough Community College 83-74.
Johnson had 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and four steals against Central Florida and 16 points, four rebounds and nine assists against Hillsborough.
Eastern Florida’s women’s team is 3-0.
Jackson, a freshman from Charlotte, North Carolina and Montverde Prep, totaled 53 points as Eastern Florida’s men’s team won three games at Snow College in Utah.
Jackson scored 21 points in a 120-59 victory over Tohona O’dham of Arizona, 16 points in an 85-76 victory over Snow and 16 in a 103-69 victory over Eastern Wyoming.
Eastern Florida’s men’s team is 7-0.
