BREVRAD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College’s Public Safety Institute is currently recruiting for its next Law Enforcement Academies.

The Brevard Police Testing and Selection Center manages the testing and application process for the following upcoming Basic Police Academies:

  • 17L2 Full-Time/Day – April 24, 2017 start date (Registration Cutoff: March 20)
  • 17L3 Part-Time/Night – July 10, 2017 start date (Registration Cutoff: June 5)
  • 17L4 Full-Time/Day – July 31, 2017 start date (Registration Cutoff: June 12)
  • 17L5 Full-Time/Day – October 30, 2017 start date (Registration Cutoff: September 18)

In order to attend, qualified applicants must successfully complete written, physical and polygraph tests by the cutoff dates listed. Class sizes are limited and rosters fill up quickly.

The academy program prepares candidates for entry-level positions as police officers and deputy sheriffs. Upon meeting all statutory requirements, graduates may gain certification through employment with any law enforcement agency in Florida.
