It’s exciting times for the entertainment-seeking public and tourists of Port Canaveral.
The ocean-bound amusement hub of Florida continues to be recognized as an environmentally friendly space, as shown by the truck auction being delayed due to baby mockingbirds in Ford F250 earlier this month, while also providing a superb range of cruises set and ready to deliver unique events.
The summer of 2019 is set to be a doozy, with the port preparing for a grand expansion to be completed next year.
In May 2020, the Launch Pad terminal is set to be completed and house the innovative XL-class Mardi Gras ship, ushering in a huge summer of cruises from Port Canaveral.
To make way for such a massive addition, a superb series of events are now underway to celebrate another summer of fun in the Harbour and en route the Caribbean.
As shown by Visit Space Coast, the two staples of this cruise events schedule are centered around the iconic wildlife of the area and gaming, with some other more traditionally themed cruises mixed in as well.
Ready to introduce a new era of cruises from Port Canaveral, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in the summer of 2019.

Harbour Wildlife Scenic Cruise
Port Canaveral is famous for and boasts about its efforts to preserve its wildlife and be as environmentally friendly as possible.
In June 2019, Port Canaveral helped to forge a prestigious group of just two ports in Florida to receive the Green Marine Recertification for Advancing Environmental Excellence.
With all of the port’s efforts to better the surrounding natural world, it should come as no surprise that the Harbour Wildlife Scenic Cruise has become one of the most popular cruises in the area.
Taking place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the year from Port Canaveral, the Harbour Wildlife Scenic cruise takes nature enthusiasts to all of the wildlife hotspots of Cape Canaveral.
The tour takes two hours and features a bar, lounge area, as well as sandwiches, chips, and a soft drink being included in the $29-$39 admission.
Leaving at noon and 15:30 each day, the cruise gives you the chance to see the most iconic wildlife of the area.
According to the official Port Canaveral website, the area boasts some truly special wildlife, including right whales, manatees, loggerhead turtles, leatherback turtles, hawksbill turtles, green turtles, Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles, and the unique gopher tortoise – the only North American tortoise found east of Texas.
There are many great animals to be seen on the Harbour Wildlife Scenic Cruise, and it’s available all year around. If you want to enjoy the most luxurious experience, however, it’s best to go in the summer while the sun is up.

Victory Casino Cruise
There’s something very exciting about casino gaming on the water from the USA, a sentiment that likely kicks back to the days of the riverboat gambling. Throughout late 2018 and in 2019, the Victory Casino Cruise sails out from Port Canaveral twice a day, seven days a week to offer a thrilling day on the open water with the world’s most popular gambling games.
Despite the cruise featuring all of the classic and most popular games known to gambling, the cruise has only seen its popularity hit its peaks in the last year or so, which is greatly down to the accessibility of such games elsewhere.
Taking the live roulette offering on Victory Casino Cruise as an example, roulette in land-based casinos has only recently come back in demand, which has, in turn, led to the cruise featuring the game more prominently.
This is because roulette has evolved in the online space, introducing people to the likes of American, European, French, and multiplayer roulette through online, mobile, and live streaming games, as shown by the Betway roulette page.
These games have become so popular online that patrons seek out new ways to play in person, which includes casino hall floors and unique casino cruise experiences like that of the Victory Casino Cruise.

A traditional cruise offering
Of course, many people come down to the scenic Port Canaveral to enjoy a more traditional cruise, which is available in abundance. One of the most popular lines out of the port is from the Carnival Cruise line, many of which travel out to the Bahamas for a few days.
Over the summer, Carnival Cruise has set many dates to depart from Port Canaveral to then visit stunning Bahamas locations. Some feature two stops, including Nassau and Freeport, while others venture to much-loved places like Princess Cays, Amber Cover, and Grand Turk as well as the western Caribbean.
There are so many tantalising cruises setting sail from Port Canaveral every day throughout the summer of 2019. With the cruises going so big this year, 2020 could well be the best year.
