BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – I had the chance to stop by one of our four sandbag distribution sites at Calvary Chapel on Thursday where the inmates and our Deputies are working hard to help everyone be prepared for the storm.

The inmates are extremely grateful to have an opportunity to help our community prepare as they have families here as well.

Also a big “Thank You” to Joe Rodriguez, Ray Rodriguez, Sam Houston and Dawn Salazar owners of McDonalds Restaurants who provided food all day long for our work crews.

I hope everyone is taking every precaution possible to prepare for the storm so that we are all working together to keep safe!

– Sheriff Wayne Ivey
