Both the project’s architect, RZK, Inc. and the construction company, Rush Construction, are locally-based, which was a priority for the VCS Governing Board.

The anticipated completion of the expansion is for the commencement of the 2020-21 school year.

Viera Charter School was established in 2013 and is required to participate in the State of Florida Accountability System.

The VCS is governed by an elected Board which oversees the overall operations of the school and establishes policies by majority vote.

The Board is responsible for the legal and fiduciary oversight along with hiring the Principal who is then responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations.

In addition to Jordan, the Board is comprised of Robert J Naberhaus III, Vice Chairman;
Kimberly Africano, Secretary/Treasurer; and Scott Steele, Board Member.
