Portion of Malabar Road to Close for Culvert Replacement Project on Monday, July 6

Brevard County will begin work on Monday, July 6 to replace a failed culvert underneath Malabar Road with a new 6-foot by 8-foot concrete box culvert.

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Brevard County will begin work on Monday, July 6 to replace a failed culvert underneath Malabar Road with a new 6-foot by 8-foot concrete box culvert.

The project will require a full closure of Malabar Road just east of Championship Circle near the entrance to Fred Poppe Regional Park.

The closure will begin July 6 and is anticipated to last for 6 to 8 weeks.

During the closure, Malabar Road between the St. Johns Heritage Parkway and Jupiter Boulevard will be limited to local traffic only.

All other traffic will be routed to a detour to NW Pace Drive for east-west travel between the St. Johns Heritage Parkway and Jupiter Boulevard.

Maintenance of traffic signage will be in place for the duration of the closure.

Traffic control signs will be installed to assist the motoring public. A detour route will be in place during the road closure.

Please keep in mind that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could affect construction schedules.
