Merritt Island High Grad Jackie Lynn Ostendorp Passes Away Aug. 23 at Age 57

Jackie was born on April 7, 1965 in Cape Canaveral

Jackie was a retail sales associate that specialized in Fabrics and Crafts at the Merritt island Walmart for 18 years.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Jacqueline (Jackie) Lynn Ostendorp, loving mother of two children and grandmother of six, passed away Aug. 23 at the age of 57.

Jackie was born on April 7, 1965, in Cape Canaveral, Florida to Sharon Lynn Quayle and Larry Oliver. She was later adopted by John Stephan Zsido. She graduated from Merritt Island High school in 1983 and married her ex-husband Mark Ostendorp in November of the same year.

Mark would then join the Army and she became an army wife. They moved across the country to Washington state and had their oldest son Jonathon while stationed there.

Later, when she was to have their youngest son Christopher, they moved back to Merritt Island to be near family while raising their children.

Jackie was a retail sales associate that specialized in Fabrics and Crafts at the Merritt island Walmart for 18 years but she could run any department in that store. Upon her retirement in 2012, she became a full-time Nana/ Nani that enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren more than anything else.

She was a crafty person that could sew anything and enjoyed making jewelry. She loved her various collections of dragons, Coca-Cola Items, and supernatural DVDs.

She will be remembered for her quick wit and sharp tongue. But also kind, loving nature. She had a heart of gold like no other and was truly a special soul. Her absence will be felt deeply by those who loved her most.

Jackie was survived by her mother, Sharon and father, John. She is survived by her two sons, Jonathon and Christopher, their wives Rita and Brittany, her grandchildren Henry, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Damien, Cheyenne, and Malakai. Her sister Terrie, brother Shiloh, niece Sierra and Nephew Alex.
