Former Cocoa Tiger, Jackson State University Receiver Willie Gaines Enters NCAA Transfer Portal

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Former Cocoa Tiger and Jackson State University Willie Gaines announced on Twitter that he will enter the NCAA transfer portal.

“Thank you to all my coaches and teammates during my time at Jackson State University. Also, want to thank the fans I really felt at home during my time here. However, I will be entering the transfer portal on April 15, with 2 years of eligibility left!” said Gaines.

The former Cocoa standout played in 13 games at Jackson State University. Gaines finished with 27 receptions for 446 yards with 5 touchdowns.

He graduated from Cocoa High School in 2019.
