BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech Cheyenne Nelson continues to rack up the post-season awards. Nelson has been named to the NFCA All-South Region Second Team, announced Wednesday.

Nelson picks up her third NFCA All-Region honors. Nelson led the Panthers with a .401 average in 147 at-bats.

She finished the season with 59 hits, six doubles, one home run, 19 RBI, 29 runs scored, and 16 stolen bases.

The center fielder recorded 77 putouts and just two errors for a .988 fielding percentage. Nelson ranks among the top 10 in the SSC in batting average and hits.

Nelson finished her career second all-time in career hits with 246, third all-time in batting average, on-base percentage (.427), doubles (39), total bases (314), fourth all-time in stolen bases (62), and fifth in runs (137).

NFCA All-Region players are nominated and selected by NFCA member coaches in each respective region.
