Cocoa Police Nab Bank Robbery Suspect Shortly After Heist at Wells Fargo Bank on Cocoa Boulevard

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – A 58-year-old man is in custody after a reported an attempted robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, located at 834 N. Cocoa Boulevard.
According to a Cocoa police spokesperson, David Klix was arrested shortly after 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, not long after he presented a note demanding money to employees at the bank.
“The suspect told the employee he had a gun and threatened to use it if the employee did not comply,” said the police spokesperson.
The suspect fled the bank on foot without any cash, but within 30 minutes, officers located a man matching the description of the robbery suspect and detained him.
“The suspect confessed and is now on his way to jail facing charges of attempted robbery,” said the police spokesperson.
