Palm Bay Police Department Promotes Scott Eakins to Lieutenant, Now Oversees Three Patrol Districts

The Palm Bay Police Department announced on Friday that they have promoted Scott Eakins to the rank of Lieutenant. Lieutenant Eakins has served with the Police Department for 9 years, and has served as a member of the Underwater Recovery Team, Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, Underwater Recovery Team Supervisor, and most recently – Sergeant within the Office of Professional Standards. BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – The Palm Bay Police Department announced on Friday that they have promoted Scott Eakins to the rank of Lieutenant.

Lieutenant Eakins has served with the Police Department for 9 years.

During his tenure, he has served as a member of the Underwater Recovery Team, Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Patrol Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, Underwater Recovery Team Supervisor, and most recently – Sergeant within the Office of Professional Standards.

With his promotion, he will be a Lieutenant on the night shift and will be responsible for three patrol districts.
