Precautionary Boil Water Notice Issued in Parts of Melbourne as Utility Crews Work to Repair Hydrant Valve

A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents in parts of Melbourne as utility crews work to repair a hydrant valve in the area.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA — A precautionary boil water notice has been issued for residents in parts of Melbourne as utility crews work to repair a hydrant valve in the area.

Water service will be temporarily shut off for customers at the following addresses:

● 1215 East Sun Circle
● 1184 Rivermont Drive
● Tanglewood Lane: 1030–1075

Following the repair work, and once water service is restored, impacted residents are advised to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes. A rolling boil of at least one minute is recommended to ensure safety. Alternatively, residents may opt to use bottled water.

This precautionary measure will remain in place until bacteriological testing confirms the water is safe for consumption. Residents will be notified directly once the advisory has been lifted.
