BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey released a video message Monday outlining stepped-up enforcement efforts along Interstate 95 aimed at reducing speeding and improving roadway safety.

In the video, Ivey emphasized that deputies will be taking a more proactive approach to targeting drivers who exceed posted speed limits, particularly along high-traffic corridors of I-95 that have seen an increase in dangerous driving behavior.

The sheriff said the initiative is part of an ongoing effort to prevent serious crashes and save lives. Speeding continues to be a leading factor in traffic fatalities, and officials say increased visibility and enforcement can serve as a strong deterrent.

Drivers traveling through Brevard County should expect to see a greater law enforcement presence, including marked and unmarked patrol units monitoring traffic. Deputies will be focused on identifying excessive speed, aggressive driving, and other hazardous behaviors.

Ivey also urged motorists to obey traffic laws, remain alert, and prioritize safety behind the wheel.
