The scholarship was created as a gesture of gratitude to mark the 40th Anniversary and recognize the tireless dedication of RUSH’s founder, Eduardo A. Rabel.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – RUSH Construction, Inc. was proud to announce the inaugural Eduardo A. Rabel Scholarships, awarded to two exemplary local high school students, Mason Gil from Astronaut High School and Ella Benson from Titusville High School.

This scholarship was established as a gesture of gratitude and recognition for the founder and Chairman of the Board, Eduardo A. Rabel (Ed), in celebration of the company’s 40th Anniversary.

RUSH Leadership faced a unique challenge: how to honor a man who has given so much and asks for nothing in return? Instead of a conventional gift, they decided to create a scholarship that could impact young students’ lives, allowing Mr. Rabel to witness the positive effects of his legacy.

Eduardo A. Rabel’s journey is a testament to resilience and was guided by the kindness of strangers. He arrived in the United States from Cuba as an unaccompanied minor through “Operation Pedro Pan” during Fidel Castro’s regime. The generosity he encountered in the US profoundly influenced his life.

In tribute to Ed’s inspiring story and charitable spirit, the RUSH Family of Companies established the “Eduardo A. Rabel Scholarships” to support promising students in their community.
