BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Merritt Island Fest is set for live music, food, vendors, and outdoor enjoyment on Sunday beginning at 5 p.m. and will feature Inner Circle, also known as The Inner Circle Band or The Bad Boys of Reggae, a Jamaican reggae band formed in Kingston in 1968.
The band first backed The Chosen Few in the early 1970s before joining with successful solo artist Jacob Miller and releasing a string of records.
The event will take place at the Merritt Island Veterans Amphitheater, located at 400 South Sykes Creek Parkway.
The festival will be a community-focused celebration that blends music, nature, and local culture.
Attendees enjoyed a mix of reggae, blues, and Hawaiian soul music throughout the evening, along with food offerings, vendor booths, and arts-and-crafts displays.
A surf expo is also part of the festival lineup, highlighting the area’s coastal lifestyle.
On Saturday, Artikal Sound System, a reggae band based in South Florida, performed at the amphitheater, serving as the centerpiece of the night.
Merritt Island Fest continues to position itself as a signature local gathering that celebrates music, creativity, and the Space Coast community.
