13-Year-Old Boy In Custody For Having BB Gun

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – A 13-year old boy is in custody for possession of a weapon on school grounds following an incident at Jupiter Elementary School after classes were dismissed for the day.
According to the Palm Bay Police Department, reports of a shooting are unfounded. According to witnesses, the suspect was walking home with several other children after school was dismissed just after 3 p.m. on Friday.
While walking home the witnesses told police one student pulled a BB gun out of a backpack and was pointing it at other students. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
