Kindergarten Pre-Registration Week Continues

BREVARD COUNTY • VIERA, FLORIDA – Kindergarten pre-registration for the 2013-2014 school year is being held this week at all Brevard County public elementary schools.

Children entering kindergarten for the first time must comply with Florida Statute 1003.21 regarding age, which states a child must be five (5) years old on or before Sept. 1, 2013.

All children who will be 6-years-old by February must attend school regularly during the entire school term.

To register a child for kindergarten, parents must provide the following:

• Original birth certificate or acceptable evidence/documentation

• Compulsory immunizations

• Current physical examination

• Two forms of residence verification
