FHP: 73-Year-Old Micco Woman Killed in Wrong-Way Crash on U.S. Highway 192

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 73-year-old Micco woman was killed in a vehicle crash after her SUV collided head-on with a sedan on U.S. Highway 192 and Bumpy Road on Tuesday night about 8:10 p.m.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the victim’s 2020 Nissan Rogue was traveling the wrong way in the westbound inside lane on U.S. Highway 192 approaching Bumpy Road.

A 2018 Mazda 3 was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway192 West of Bumpy Road in the inside lane. As a result, the front right of the SUV struck the Mazda. This impact caused the SUV to rotate clockwise and travel into the north grass shoulder.

A FHP spokesperson said the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the Mazda was transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

This crash remains under investigation and authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
