BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA — The Titusville Police Department and the Titusville Police Athletic League (PAL) are asking the community to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year by participating in the “Jam the Jeep” School Supply Drive on Friday, July 10.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at Walmart, 3175 Cheney Highway, where volunteers will collect school supplies and other essential items for students in local schools who are experiencing housing instability, displacement, or a lack of consistent family support.

Organizers are seeking donations of backpacks, pencils, pens, notebooks, paper, classroom supplies, non-perishable food items and other necessities that can help students begin the school year prepared and confident.

Through the efforts of the department’s School Resource Officers and community support, all donated items will be distributed directly to students when they need them most.

Officials say the donations will help remove barriers to learning while reminding students that their community is invested in their success.

Community members are encouraged to stop by the event, meet with officers and PAL representatives, and help fill the department’s Jeep with donations that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local children.

A suggested donation list is available by scanning the event’s QR code or by visiting: https://canva.link/uu7hv6rbv0r9m03.

Organizers say every contribution, regardless of size, will help ensure students have the tools they need to succeed when they return to the classroom.
