BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Patrol officers from the Palm Bay Police Department helped Brevard County Sheriff’s deputies recapture a woman who escaped custody this morning.

Palm Bay Police spokeswoman Yvonne Martinez said Amanda Sielitzski climbed through a bathroom window in the 1300 block of Paramount Avenue SE in Palm Bay around 9:30 a.m and abscounded.

She made her escape while handcuffed and barefoot.

An immediate aerial and ground was initiated and K-9 units were used to track the escapee.

Sielitzski was recaptured without resistance shortly after noon near the intersection of Paragon Road and Waco Boulevard.

Police said she has a history of drug charges and was being arrested for a violation of probation.
