UPDATE: FHP Investigating Fatal Crash Involving Vehicle and Pedestrian In Valkaria

UPDATE: June 28, 2015 – 9:30 a.m.
The Florida Highway Patrol reports that a 56-year old man from Grant was killed about 9:30 p.m. at US 1 and Valkaria Road as the victim tried to cross US 1.
The pedestrian has not been identified by authorities pending notification of next of kin.
According to FHP, George Bury, 62, of Melbourne was traveling southbound on US 1 in the right through lane as the victim was attempting to cross US 1 and traveled into the direct path of Bury.
This crash remains under investigation.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Florida Highway Patrol has reported that Troopers are responding to a fatal crash in Brevard County on US 1 and Valkaria Road, and report that the incident involves a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The incident is under investigation.
