Florida Tech’s Sam Balch Named All-American By USA Lacrosse for Second Consecutive Year

Florida Tech’s Sam Balch has been named Third Team All-American by USA Lacrosse for the second consecutive year. BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech’s Sam Balch has been named Third Team All-American by USA Lacrosse for the second consecutive year.

The Wilmette, Ill. native picks up All-American honors after finishing the regular season fourth in all of Division II with 2.93 caused turnovers per game and 41 overall.

He racked up three or more caused turnovers in eight games in 2023, in addition to ranking third on the team with 38 ground balls. He also added three assists on the year.

Balch was named to the All-SSC First Team for the second straight year.

The graduate defender closes out his Florida Tech career, ranking second on the all-time list for caused turnovers with 85.
