BREVARD COUNTY • , FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College men’s basketball player Fredy-Salam Sylla has been named the FCSAA Division I Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The freshman from Paris, France, had a double-double in the three games and averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds in the three games at the CSI Battle for the Boot tournament.

In the Titans’ win over No. 12 CSI, Sylla had 22 points and 11 rebounds. In the championship game against No. 1 South Plains, he scored 19 points and 11 rebounds, but the Titans fell short of winning the title.

For the season, Sylla has averaged 17 points and 10.3 rebounds in four games with the Titans. Eastern Florida State College will be home on Tuesday night for the first of three straight home games.

They will also be home on Tuesday, November 19, and Saturday, November 23.
