BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A Mims man has been taken into custody after allegedly exposing himself in a lewd manner and fleeing police during a traffic stop, according to the Titusville Police Commander Tyler Wright.
The incident began on Sunday, May 11, 2025, around 3:12 p.m., when officers responded to a report of indecent exposure in the 2000 block of Cheney Highway.
Upon arrival, patrol officers met with the reporting party and immediately launched an investigation. Detectives identified the suspect as Antonio J. Kent, 46, of Mims, Florida.
According to investigators, Kent had been sitting in a gray Nissan four-door sedan and was seen exposing and touching himself in an obscene manner. He reportedly fled the scene before police arrived.
Following an investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Kent’s arrest.
On Thursday, May 15, law enforcement officers spotted Kent driving a blue Ford SUV on Palmetto Avenue. Officers initiated a traffic stop and informed Kent that he was wanted in connection with the earlier incident.
Kent fled the scene in his vehicle, leading police on a brief pursuit. He eventually stopped near the 1400 block of Norwood Avenue, where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Kent now faces multiple charges, including Exposure of Sexual Organs, Habitual Felony Violent Offender, Fleeing and Eluding with Lights and Sirens, Resisting Arrest without Violence, and Violation of Condition of Pretrial Release.
He is currently held at the Brevard County Detention Center under no bond. Kent is also a registered sexual offender in the state of Florida.
Police say Kent has been involved in previous complaints of similar behavior and believe other victims may not have yet come forward. He is known to drive both a gray Nissan sedan and a blue Ford SUV.
Authorities are now encouraging potential additional victims to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Bryan Nelson issued a public statement urging others who may have been affected to speak out:
“We understand how difficult it can be to come forward in these situations, but we want the community to know we are here to support you. We are grateful to the brave individuals who have already come forward, and we remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of everyone in our city.”
Anyone with additional information about this case or other incidents involving Kent is encouraged to contact the Titusville Police Department. Tips may also be submitted anonymously through Crime Line at 1-800-423-TIPS.
