BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – The Titusville Police Department shared the passing of Retired K9 Scooby, a dedicated Belgian Malinois, who passed away on March 10, at nearly 10 years of age.

K9 Scooby proudly served the Titusville Police Department and our community from 2017 – 2024.

He was dual certified patrol K9, skilled in tracking, apprehension, and narcotics detection, and throughout his eight years of service, he worked alongside four K9 handlers, with his final partner being Officer Weaver.

Scooby was a loyal partner, a hard worker, and an invaluable member of our department. His contributions helped keep our community safe and supported the mission of this agency every single day.

After retiring, Scooby spent his well-earned years as a beloved companion to the Weaver family, enjoying life, family, and simply being a dog.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Officer Weaver and the entire Weaver family. Rest easy, good boy. Your watch is over, but your impact will never be forgotten.” Titusville Police posted.
