OBITUARY: Thomas J. Mahony, 79, Passes Away Jan. 15, Worked for Brevard Sheriff’s Office 17 years

Graveside services with military honors will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery

Thomas J. Mahony (Tom) died peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on September 5, 1943, and served in the United States Air Force. Tomd came to Brevard County from Wisconsin in 1975 and worked for the Brevard County Sheriff’s office for 17 years.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Thomas J. Mahony (Tom) died peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at the age of 79. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on September 5, 1943.

He served in the United States Air Force and came to Brevard County from Wisconsin in 1975. He then worked for the Brevard County Sheriff’s office for 17 years.

Tom loved animals and his avid love of horses was a lifelong hobby.

He will be remembered for being a devoted father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and lifelong friend.

He will forever be our Dad, Pops, Papa & Grandpa. We miss him dearly.

Tom is survived by his sons Thomas (Danielle) Mahony, Ronald Mahony, Brian (Lisa) Mahony, Ryan (Brianne) Mahony, his daughter Kelly (Scott) Clay and his nine grandchildren Triston, Colleen, Molly, Kendall, Matthew, Tyler, Paelyn, Chase and Tinsley.

Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday, January 31 at 2:30 p.m. in Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
